Limited Warranty Period
Aftermarket Parts: 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, for new and remanufactured parts provided by the Repair Facility, unless otherwise specified on the invoice.
OEM Parts: 24 months or 24,000 miles, whichever occurs first, for new and remanufactured parts provided by the Repair Facility, unless otherwise specified on the invoice.
Used Parts: 30 days (for used parts provided by the Repair Facility) from the date of repair, unless otherwise specified on the invoice.
A/C Recharges: 90 days labor only.
Coverage is measured from the date of repair and the odometer reading shown on your original invoice. This warranty covers a one time replacement of the affected component. This warranty is valid only for the original purchaser and requires that the vehicle receive normal use and proper maintenance. In the event of a defect, J D Auto Service and Repair LLC may choose to perform remedial work, replace the part, or issue a refund for the warranted repair.
What is Covered
This warranty covers systems including Air Conditioning/Heating, Brakes, Electrical, Emission Control, Engine Cooling, Electronic Management/Computers, Cruise Control, Engine Performance, Exhaust, Fuel, Ignition, Starting/Charging, Batteries, Steering/Suspension, and Wheel Bearings/Axles.
What is Not Covered
This warranty does not apply to damage caused by abnormal use, misuse, neglect, accidents, theft, tampering, or alterations. The odometer must be functioning for coverage to apply. Necessary and proper maintenance records will be required to provide warranty coverage to the covered component.
Specific exclusions include:
- Incidental or Consequential Damages: Additional expenses incurred due to a covered repair.
- Temporary Repairs: Use of universal components (e.g., exhaust flex sections, compression fittings, rubber hoses and clamps).
- Customer Provided Parts: We warrant only the correct installation.
- Internal Engine/Transmission/Transfer Case/Drive Axle Repairs: Any repair requiring the removal or disassembly of these major assemblies.
- Clutches, Tires, and Auto Body/Glass work.
- Preventive Maintenance: Oil changes, fluid flushes, wiper blades, and filters.
Customer Charges Incurred due to Warranty Work
During warranty service, the customer is responsible for fluids, gaskets, filters, shop supplies, and hazardous materials required for the warranty exchange.
For used component replacements (such as engine or transmission replacement), the customer may have the option to renew the warranty again for an additional cost.
